VACUUM METALIZING
Process uses resistive evaporation to produce a coating that simulates the appearance of electroplated silver, gold, bronze and other alloys, in brilliant reflective or matte metallic finishes.
THE PROCESS
- Parts receive a basecoat in the flowcoater or spray booth before being moved to the vacuum chamber.
- In the vacuum chamber, parts are coated with an alloy, producing a clean, even, metallic finish.
- Metalized parts receive a variety of treatments to provide the desired properties:
Sprayed Topcoat - Tinted translucent coatings.
Powder Coat - Translucent topcoats for superior coating durability.
Dye Dip - Tinted topcoat to provide an attractive color or to simulate the appearance of an electroplated coating.

Lighting

Tooling to mask interior of caps. Threads and hinges will maintain full functionality after processing.
